Indianelement.com fills gap left by major portals with first ever
Fully customizable start page for Brit-Asians
London, UK – Indianelement.com has recently launched the only customizable start page for Brit-Asians that allow users to fully personalize their entire favorite web content onto a single page. The brainchild of 29-year-old entrepreneur Deepak Gandhi, Indianelement.com is free, easy to use and convenient, and is also the only start page that offers Brit-Asian content alongside mainstream content.
The customizable start page is quickly becoming an efficient and popular way of organizing and personalizing the internet, and with so many portals like MSN, Netvibes, Yahoo and Google on offer, Indianelement.com is the only one specifically for the ethnic demographic. Users can easily build their start page by selecting from over 500 ‘widgets’ - for local national and international news, sports, Asian events, ringtones, Bollywood, a calendar (that lists local and Indian holidays), Flickr, YouTube, London tube updates, etc - and simply drag and drop their preferred widgets onto their start page.
Users can also add their own feed to Indianelement.com by copying and pasting the website’s URL into an ‘Add RSS’ menu. There is also the option to create multiple pages and personalize the title of each page, allowing users to separate news pages from sports, or entertainment from business. All the content is updated regularly and users can be transferred from the article synopsis to the full article, and the content provider’s site, without ever having to leave their Indianelement.com start page.
Indianelement.com has also partnered up with several leading service providers like CareerBuilder UK, Astrology.com, Foreca.com, Moreover Technologies, DesiHits.com, Asiansinmedia, Chillitickets, and Jamster UK.
Deepak Gandhi, Founder and CEO, Indianelement.com says: “I created Indianelement.com so users can access their favorite pages by just clicking onto one site, instead of spending valuable time trawling through the internet. Indianelement.com fills a void that was left by other major portals, which are either too western or too ethnic and as an Asian living overseas, I couldn’t relate to either, which is why I developed this start page.
“In the coming months we’ll be launching localized versions of Indianelement.com into other markets and in Q4 of 2009, we’ll also be releasing a mobile version of the site that will allow users constant access to their favorite online content and applications from their mobile phones.”
